Perched high above Karimabad, this ancient fort has guarded Hunza for over 700 years. Restored by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, it offers panoramic views of Rakaposhi peak (7,788m) and the entire Hunza Valley. A UNESCO World Heritage candidate site and must-visit landmark.
Formed by a massive 2010 landslide, Attabad Lake's brilliant turquoise waters stretch 21 km along the Karakoram Highway. Visitors can boat, kayak, or simply sit in awe of one of Asia's most dramatic and beautiful natural formations — impossible to photograph without gasping.
